SURE FIRE SOUL ENSEMBLE

"I’d hazard a guess, but there aren’t too many outfits branding themselves ‘heavy cinematic soul” bands in San Diego, let alone any other place. That’s a very specific niche and sound, and from what we’re hearing so far, these guys have it on lock.Atmospheric, funky, and the moody is the vibe TSFSE give off. If you are a fan of the organ (and we know you are), some gritty Funk, and beautiful original soundtracks, these guys are for you." - Flea Market Funk

The Sure Fire Soul Ensemble is a heavy, original, instrument
al soul band based in San Diego. They draw influence from the masters of the style from the past and modern day, including: The Meters, Isaac Hayes, El Michels Affair, Mulatu Astatke, Budos Band, The Nite Liters, Menahan Street Band, Fela Kuti, and The Poets of Rhythm. In June of 2015 they released their debut self titled album on Colemine Records. The album was very well received and made many "Best of 2015" lists including Reddit, Staf Magazine, and KMHD. The album also won a San Diego Music Award. In October 2016, they released their 2nd full length album, "Out On The Coast" via Colemine Records. SFSE has shared the stage with Lee Fields and the Expressions, New Mastersounds, Orgone, Quantic, Monophonics, Kamasi Washington, and many other touring bands.

MORE FATTER

More Fatter is a funk fusion band from the San Francisco Bay Area. Bringing spacious, brassy dance grooves, lusciously tight choral harmonies, and a fiery live presence, More Fatter has quickly established itself as "San Francisco's newest funk, rock, and jazz fusion experiment" (Bay Bridged). With Tommy Economou on vocals/guitar, Mark Fedronic on trombone/vocals/keyboards, Adam Heymann on bass, Danny Chiapelone on drums, and Theo Fedronic on trumpet/vocals, More Fatter celebrates the chaotic zone between our wildest dreams and everyday realities, driven by a mission to fire up and heal the hearts and souls of listeners. Check out their debut single, "Mr. Dassey" now available on Spotify, iTunes, Soundcloud, and Bandcamp! Look out for upcoming shows in the Bay Area and beyond, more single releases and their debut record coming out in 2017. You won't want to miss it.

KZ & The Robbers

New York, 2010 – The dark depths of winter and KZ plugs his guitar into an amp. He hammers out some chords, calls it “I Wanna Make You Cry” and with a few telep...hone calls KZ and The Robbers is born. Melding the energy and balls of a Creedence Revival with the gravity and earnestness of a Howlin Wolf, the boys carve out a sound and a place for themselves between Brooklyn and San Francisco.

San Francisco, present – After 3 years living, recording and performing in musical bootcamp, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, KZ returns to the motherland with a new bag of tricks. A new swing, a new vibe, a new attack—think Jorge Ben or Djavan played with the howling intensity of U.S. electric guitar. The Robbers is reformed with a bunch of California Savages and Michigan G.O.B.’s (Good Ole Boys) and takes on a new dimension, positioning itself uniquely between North and South, pop and noise, anger and tenderness.

Today KZ and the Robbers are in the studio recording their third album and rocking Bay Area and California stages. Look for new material in the first semester of 2016 and a steady diet of passionate live performances.
