THE MELT

The Melt is a SF Bay Area funk outfit featuring members Todd Bugbee on Guitar/Vocals, Rhyne Erde on Drums, Harlan Rollins on Bass, and Jeff Stevenson on Hammond B3 and keyboards. The music is a blend of funky original compositions and jazz fusion. It is high energy, intricate and very danceable with a strong, funk-groove. The band is heavily influenced by amazing musicians such as John Scofield, John Medeski, Stanton Moore, The Meters, and any other heavy-groove oriented artists!

PAPAS FRITAS ft. ADAM KNIGHT

Papa Fritas is an SF based core-tet of keys, bass, guitar and drums steeped in rhythm and groove, so attractive they have to dress frumpy in order to avoid cat-calls. They often employ the help of Adam Knight, a singer so charismatic you won’t even realize you're naked halfway through his first song on the mic.

If cooking for a family of 4, pre-heat the oven to Stevie Wonder, mix equal parts John Legend, The Roots and Sly Stone sprinkled with The Meters into a Vulfpeck pan and cook until it takes on the consistency of Galactic. Stick a knife in it: if it starts singing “Superstition” when you pull it out, dinner is ready. Serve with a healthy garnish of sax and trumpet - mmm mmm!
