Shelby Lanterman is a singer-songwriter from Napa, CA. Practically from the day she was born, her father exposed her to all forms of rock & roll and other types... of popular music, and she was quickly inspired to sing and play music herself. At the age of 12 she picked up the guitar and signed up for the Garage Band 101 program at Napa School of Music, which helped her segue into playing her own shows. In the fall of 2014, Shelby attended Dark Horse Institute in the Nashville area. Shelby earned a degree in audio engineering, while also immersing herself in the music first atmosphere that is unique to Nashville. Here she was able to work with musicians from all over the country and develop her repertoire as a producer. This experience shaped her unique sound that encompasses the classic rock she grew up loving, and the "Nashville Sound" she was exposed to during her time studying at Dark Horse. Inspired by artists ranging from Johnny Cash to Nirvana, Shelby’s songwriting style blends the angst and energy of 90’s alt-rock/grunge with the sensibility of Americana and roots rock. With a wealth of her own material and a group of carefully selected covers, Shelby’s high energy performances will remind you why you fell in love with rock & roll in the first place.
Tainted Milk is an Alternative Rock band from the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded by two childhood friends, Ivan & Will, they sought out to make unique high ene...rgy rock music with influences ranging from progressive rock to funk rock to psychedelic rock. In this era of their music, their closest musical cousin would be early '90s Red Hot Chili Peppers. This isn't always the case, as each song has its own identity, reflecting the diversity in their musical taste. In May 2016, Tainted Milk came out with their first E.P. which was driven to release after they wrote the song "Nature v.s. the Leafblower", a catchy hard rock song with a solid groove and an infectious riff. After its release, they played a handful of shows at venues such as the Brick & Mortar in SF, Red House in Walnut Creek alongside friends in the Alt-Punk band "Get Out", and served as support to touring band "Angwish" at the Stork Club in Oakland. Later that year, they followed up with another E.P. titled "No More", containing a pair of songs that demonstrated their musical growth over time and their chemistry as a band. "Psychedello" slows it way down and explores a different side of their music. Upcoming single "We Die" out in early 2017 pushes this even further as the song combines all previous elements of their music into something new. Tainted Milk is currently developing their first full-length album, it is expected to release late 2017/early 2018.
