Over the past 5 years the The Bay Funk Allstars have become a staple of the San Francisco underground scene. With a unique brand of funk, soul, and rock and roll, the crew brings relentless jams to the late night parties they throw. The collective has been known to feature from some of the most prominent musicians in the bay delivering marathon sets of epic proportions. Though no two parties are the same, all share one common feature: The Bay Funk Allstars throw parties you don't want to miss.

Members of the group have shared the stage with acts such as the Revivalists, The New Mastersounds, Monophonics, Brian Auger (performed & recorded with Hendrix, Zeppelin and more), Alex Ligertwood (Santana), and other legendary acts.

*FIVE ALARM FUNK*

The Vancouver-based band is eight men strong and over a decade deep into a career that has seen it release five acclaimed albums and burn up stages across the country on six national tours. And this vehicle isn’t about to slow down. In fact, Five Alarm Funk is just picking up steam. Set to release their 6th studio album, Sweat, on March 3, 2017, Sweat gets right to the roots of what Five Alarm Funk is all about: epic, intense arrangements, heavy groove and a ton of fun.

Hot, sweaty dance floors with feet stomping and every body moving. Grooves for days. Monster horns and shredding psych-rock guitars. Oh, and giant killer robots. Let’s not forget about those.

These are among the elements that make up the Five Alarm Funk experience. The Vancouver-based band is nine men strong and over a decade deep into a career that has seen it release five acclaimed albums and burn up stages across the country on four national tours. And this vehicle isn’t about to slow down. In fact, Five Alarm Funk is just picking up steam.

FAF’s stellar catalogue includes Anything Is Possible (winner of Instrumental Recording of the Year at the 2011 Western Canadian Music Awards) and Rock the Sky (which was nominated for Instrumental Recording of the Year at the 2013 WCMAs and Instrumental Album of the Year at that year’s Juno Awards.)

Five Alarm Funk’s fifth studio LP, released last June, is the hard-rocking Abandon Earth, a concept record about the destruction of Earth by a giant tyrannical robot. The band took the album’s Balkan-inspired horns, prog-metal six-string shredding, and ambitious, cinematic arrangements on tour across Canada and into the United States in the summer of 2014.

And the road goes ever on. Five Alarm Funk will hit the studio again this winter, and after that? Well, the plan is to take on the entire planet, but FAF will be happy to get the party started in the U.S. And Europe. Not to mention Australia and New Zealand.

It won’t be long before music lovers around the world learn what the group’s Canadian fans have known for years. A Five Alarm Funk show is more than a concert; it’s a high-octane, knock-your-socks-off dance party. Come prepared to get sweaty.
